COVID-19 Statement
Our first priority is, remains, and always will be the safety of our Clients and Group Leaders. This is a guiding principle of Cascade Mountain Adventures in addition to outdoor education, encouragement, and the creation of a community for our clients. We take this responsibility very seriously.
We have made numerous changes to our in-person events to encourage social distancing and minimize shared contact items. We have discontinued the use of shared tents outside of members of the same household. We also require our in-person event participants to provide all of their own food and personally consumable items. We are also minimizing the use of shared items with participants being issued individual gear or consolidating all group gear to event guides.
Beginning on October 1, 2021, Cascade Mountain Adventures will also require that all participants on in-person events be fully vaccinated. This policy change follows announcements by public health authorities that the Delta variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus is significantly more transmissible than earlier strains, is spreading rapidly worldwide, and is increasing the risks of infection, severe illness, and death in all populations. We will also require confirmation that you do not currently have, been recently diagnosed with, or have been in close proximity with those diagnosed with COVID-19. An agreement to these terms will be required at event sign-up and a signed form is required 3 days prior to event participation.
We are also strongly encouraging clients to consider the purchase of travel insurance for all Cascade Mountain Adventures programs. Our Cancellation Policy remains unchanged. Travel insurance will reimburse eligible program fees in the event of a health based cancellation. We recommend Trip Assure with the inclusion of ‘Cancel For Any Reason’ coverage.
We will continue to make conservative choices and cancel events as needed. Our first priority, now and forever, is the safety of our Clients and our Team. See you on the trail sometime soon.
